Visita Iglesia a la Bacolod
On the plane back from Seoul, I chanced upon (and stashed inside my bag) a magazine article showing that a trip in Bacolod can be more than just sweets and inasal. So even though it was way past Holy Week, my sisters and I went on a different kind of Visita Iglesia in Bacolod. We started with the usual, conventional stone churches in the city. Then we went to Victorias Milling Corporation for the Church of the Angry Christ.
Then we headed to far-flung Manapla for another unique chapel - the Chapel of the Cartwheels in Hacienda Rosalia. The thing is, it was already starting to rain and the chapel was inside the hacienda. Though people said that we can walk from the main road to the chapel, we were feeling a bit discouraged to do so because of the rain. Finally, a tricycle!
But of course, a trip to Bacolod would not be complete without this.
